Fishing the Davidson
River: A Focused Guided Trip ![]()
The Davidson River is one of the best trout fisheries in the United States due to the abundance of food. The River is also uniquely structured. It can change from rocky, small creek pocket water to seventy-feet wide pools all in a matter of miles. The Davidson is, however, a picky and difficult river to fish. In this guided class you will learn the ins and outs of the river's structure and the trout's selectivity. This guided trip is private to your party.
Streamer Fishing
in the Tuckasegee : For Experienced Casters ![]()
The Tuckasegee's fames catch and release water is stocked with more fish than any other river in North Carolina. This five-mile stretch has many different water changes from fast, shallow riffles to slow moving, deep pools. These fish are agressive and feed on bait fish readily. A streamer, or minnow imitation, is the most effective way to catch these fish. On this guided trip you will learn where fish hold positions in large rivers, how to choose the right color, weight, and size streamer, correct leader formulas for different conditions, and the tackle needed to fish effectively. This trip is conducted on a stream and is available for single or multiple person parties. These are private trips and parties are not mixed.

Things We Recommend:
We strongly urge that you wear glasses. Flies can end up in the most inconvenient places. Polarized sunglasses are the best. The reduce glare for clearer vision.
